What is a Community School?
A "community school", also known as a "charter school," is both an educational institution and a community center. Community schools are an alternative option to a traditional public school and give students a choice in their education. In addition to academics, community schools provide family support with Family Education Services. Community schools offer opportunities for youth and their families, and by doing so, create a healthier community.
